At USD HEALTHCARE, we believe that access to quality healthcare is not a privilege, but a fundamental human right. Our healthcare division is driven by a deep-seated commitment to serving the most vulnerable sections of society – those who face systemic barriers to well-being. We work on the ground, addressing critical health challenges and striving to create a future where every individual, regardless of their socio-economic background, can live a healthy and dignified life. Our efforts are rooted in understanding the unique struggles of underserved communities and providing targeted interventions that bring about tangible improvements in their health outcomes.

Through comprehensive WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) surveys, like our recent initiative in Ayodhya, we gain crucial insights into the living conditions of rural populations, identifying critical gaps in safe water access and sanitation facilities that directly impact health and vulnerability to disease.

Beyond surveys, we extend our hand to those battling debilitating illnesses, providing support and care to TB patients on their journey to recovery. Furthermore, we try to offer a caring place for the forgotten, providing compassionate care and essential health services to destitute elderly residents in old age homes, ensuring their twilight years are spent in comfort and dignity.
Our commitment to the elderly destitute is a cornerstone of our healthcare mission. Many senior citizens find themselves without support, facing health challenges in isolation. At our old age destitute homes, we provide not just shelter, but comprehensive healthcare services tailored to their specific needs. This includes regular medical check-ups, access to necessary medications, specialized care for age-related ailments, their good mental health and a nurturing environment that promotes their overall well-being and dignity in their later years.

Recently we have also ventured into providing patient care & elderly care home services. The idea of this initiative means to provide livelihood support to the unemployed youth who are willing to work in the healthcare service sector. We train them in classroom, on the job, in nursing homes and then send them to the respective patient locations. The revenue thus generated is used for their livelihood generation & supporting elderly home charitable activities. |

The value of anything is realized only when it is lost, and one such thing is vision.
There is a huge need for the availability of transplantable donor corneas worldwide to reduce the burden of corneal blindness due to corneal opacity, but due to lack of awareness about eye donation among general population, the practice of eye donation is lacking in our Country. |

Voluntary eye donation depends on the awareness levels of various stakeholders in the community.
Though all the causes of blindness can't be cured, corneal blindness can be reverted by corneal transplantation, if done at right time.

| Some Basic Facts about Eye Donation : |
• Anyone can be an eye donor, irrespective of age, sex, religion, caste, creed or blood group.
• The whole eye is not used for transplant; only the thin transparent layer in front of the iris, called the cornea is used for transplant, to replace the diseased or opaque cornea in the eye of the patient (recipient).
• Corneas of patients suffering from AIDS, rabies, syphilis, tetanus, septicemia and certain viral diseases are considered unfit for use for transplant purposes. |
