Uma Shankar Dixit’s Consortium of Skill Development, Training & Women Empowerment, an Indian Initiative with a Global Vision, organised a National Seminar on Healthcare Education, Awareness and Women Empowerment in collaboration with HOYA Medical India Ltd., at Navin Hospital, Sector 3, Vaishali, Ghaziabad (U.P) on 14th MARCH, 2018. This event was one of the important activities of CSR Initiatives by USD - HOYA collaboration in Healthcare sector in U.P state and East Delhi, in India. |

Friends, Health for women has always been narrowly addressed within many Health literacy programs for women that set out to disseminate information related to Maternal and Child Health only. In many societies, women are still very much disadvantaged by discrimination and violence, rooted in various socio-cultural factors associated with them.
Women, as the main agents of primary health care, play an essential role in maintaining family and community health because of their social role as nurturers and care-takers. A broader approach to women empowerment through Health Literacy and more awareness on ways of maintaining good health and medical advancements, will certainly have a stronger impact on women, her family and Society’s well being, than a narrow focus on nutrition education for women. |

Dr. Omkar Singh and Dr. Priya Bansal spoke on Preventive Health for Community & Women in specific and the basic measures to be taken by women in daily routine to ensure good health. |

Later many girls and women were given appreciation certificates for their determination to get themselves empowered. The president of USD Group Mrs. Renu Bajpai, was very much thankful to all the team members of USD Group specifically Mr. Himanshu Dixit, Mrs. Meenakshi Gora, Mrs. Dimple Sareen, Mrs. Manju Kaushik and the entire team. |

The success of the event was more enjoyable as many of the Girls and Women from marginalized section, who got appreciation for their determination to get skilled and economically empowered, came out of their house for the first time in a public event. These girls and women are getting training in basic Sewing, IT, Communication skills etc under expert Guidance and have started making beautiful Kitchen linens and Home Furnishings like Cushion Cover, Table mats, Pillow Covers, Handkerchiefs etc.
These talented women learnt a lot about maintaining their own Health, and how to deal with their family member's health issues. This awareness has brought new smile on their faces as they were able to understand various myths about Women Health and Hygiene.
The USD Group is thankful to everyone for their immense support in our mission and will always seek the Guidance and blessings of Mrs. Kamlesh Dixit, Co-Founder and Chief patron of USD Group and Mr. US Dixit (A Great Noble Educationist and Founder of USD Group ) for being a great Inspiration to USD team.
USD Group seek the support of all sensitive citizens in the substantial, sustainable development of our Global Society and will always be committed to work for the upliftment of Society.
To conclude, our efforts to create more Healthcare Awareness for women by organizing such seminars/ camps etc and encouraging the socio-economic empowerment of these women through appreciations from the Society to make them more confident and competent, we are once again very very thankful to entire team of HOYA Medical India Pvt.
